Curriculum
Our curriculum is intended to be both accessible and challenging for all students, irrespective of their ability. Through the American curriculum, our academic standards at (IEC) continue to improve throughout the academic year. For every student who is enrolled in our school community, we want them to feel a sense of empowerment and belonging, as this is essential to their future success. Our extraordinary facilities, technology integration across curricular and dedicated staff enable us to deliver our programs in an environment that is intimate, friendly, and attuned to every specific educational need. We aim to create student agency where students voice is heard and feel empowered to take ownership of their learning. We thereby ensure success for all by providing students with the necessary skills to flourish in an ever-changing and ever-demanding labor market. Our curriculum will continue to further develop Arabic and the Islamic departments. We believe in a strong sense of continuity between the customs and traditions of the country and our teaching practices. Hence, learning of the culture will be central to our educational practice, whilst implementing a more rigorous international American-based curriculum blended with global learning.

Languages taught in school
Learning a language is a complex, time-intensive task that requires dedication, persistence, and hard work. At ( name of school) our program offers students opportunities to learn English, Chinese, and German. Our program is dedicated to preparing students to be successful in school and to be active, lifelong learners. The inclusion and opportunities to learn multiple languages are designed for students to provide a framework of learning which encourages students to become creative, critical, and reflective thinkers. Language learning emphasizes intellectual challenge while encouraging students to make connections between their studies in traditional subjects and to the real world. The aim of teaching other languages in school is the development of skills for communication, intercultural understanding, and global engagement. These are qualities that are essential for life in the 21st century.

The Islamic Educational College (IEC) is located in Amman Jordan. IEC was established in 1947 as a non-profit institution that implements an educational philosophy stemming from the Mission and Vision of The Islamic Cultural Society. It was inaugurated by His Majesty King Abdullah The First, and was attended by a number of princes and nobles from The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and other countries. Our schools aim at producing well rounded generations that benefit from a superior educational experience combined with moderate Islamic teachings in an ever evolving and advancing learning environment.
Islamic Educational College Educational Programs
The Islamic Educational College Schools offer the National Program as well as the IB Diploma, GCE/ IGCSE and American Programs. (Total number of enrollments: 6,842)
Islamic Educational College American Program
The American Program is an international college-preparatory school that was established in 2009-2010 at the Jabal Amman campus. It includes all levels from K to 12. It is accredited by Cognia (Formerly AdvancED) and the Jordanian Ministry of Education. IEC American Program holds membership in the College Board and also has developed partnership with Leader In Me, KAGAN, Healthy School, ISO and Hwang. Another branch for the American Program was established in 2018-2019 at the Jubaiha Campus and it includes grades from KG-11 with 480 students.
IEC American Program offers AP courses and SAT Subjects and is an SAT and AP certified testing center. We have adopted the Kagan cooperative learning system in our classrooms. We keep up to date with the required technology as our students use their tablets to access their Online textbooks and use an interactive (IRS) board in their cutting edge learning experience.
All subjects are taught in English by highly qualified and experienced teachers, except for Arabic and Islamic Studies that are taught in Arabic. Level classes are offered for students whose Arabic is not their mother tongue. Our school also offers Chinese and German languages.
