Letter of the Secretary General of the Islamic Culture Society

Hussein Ahmad Al-Tarawneh

We praise Allah with abundant praise, as He is the best way to begin words and the noblest of conclusions.

We greet you through our electronic portal as we stand on the threshold of a new phase, filled with hope and optimism. We breathe in the fragrance of history from the walls of this institution in its various locations, which have always been and will remain at the forefront of our priorities. We steadily advance toward its progress and prosperity, ensuring its continued existence as a beacon of pride, a fountain of knowledge for seekers of science and understanding, and a destination for those in search of excellence, creativity, and renewal.

The importance of this communication lies in our reflection on past achievements and preparation for future aspirations. We are reminded of the greatness of the mission that the Islamic Culture Society has undertaken, which has been extended through our schools located in Jabal Amman and Jubaiha, offering both national and international programs that meet the needs of our community. We are racing against time to achieve the vision and mission in both the education and learning processes, always striving to be pioneers, just as the founding generation intended when they established this leading educational institution.

The Islamic Culture Society was established in 1944 as an independent entity with legal personality. It is the legal and legitimate representative of the Islamic Scientific College schools, which are concerned with raising generations with Islamic values based on justice, tolerance, moderation, and respect for differing opinions.

With our firm belief that education precedes learning, education is the foundation as it aims to elevate the humanity of students, develop their cognitive abilities, broaden their horizons, and prepare them for all circumstances. The noble mission of learning propels them toward excellence, acquiring 21st-century skills, and keeping pace with the modern world. This is all framed within planning that focuses on deepening the partnership between the school and the society in which the students live, making the picture bright on both sides of the equation. The ability to improve the lives of our children increases, moving them toward a better reality in an outstanding educational environment. This education aims to foster distinction, creativity, and development, along with preparing and training teachers to face all challenges in the fields of education and the rapid technological advancements.

At the Islamic Culture Society, represented by its schools in both locations and through its diverse programs, we always strive to adhere to our mission derived from the Book of Allah – the Almighty – and the Sunnah of His noble Prophet – peace be upon him. From there, our students embark on their lives with confidence in Allah first, then in themselves and their capabilities, carrying the responsibility towards their religion, their nation, and their dear homeland. This would not have borne fruit without the great efforts of dedicated and highly experienced staff, who have taken it upon themselves to ensure that the Islamic Scientific College remains a refreshing source for those thirsty for knowledge, a bright lamp lighting the way for the lost, and a pure spring of noble human values and righteous morals.

In conclusion,

We have taken a pledge upon ourselves to follow in the footsteps of our predecessors, never straying from the path we have walked since the 1980s, with our sights always set on serving this nation and our students with all the strength, patience, accumulated expertise, and successful experiences we possess.

We ask Allah Almighty to grant us all success in serving this beloved homeland under the leadership of the captain of the journey and the leader of the procession, His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein. May Allah protect and preserve him.

Peace and blessings be upon you all.
