The schools were established in 1947 as a non-profit institution applying an educational philosophy rooted in the objectives of the Islamic Cultural Society. The schools were inaugurated by His Majesty King Abdullah I, the founder—may God have mercy upon him. His Majesty King Hussein bin Talal—may God have mercy upon him—His Majesty King Abdullah II, and several princes and nobles of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Arab and Islamic world have studied and graduated from these schools.
The primary goal of the schools is to graduate young Muslim generations who value the role of science and faith, within an educational approach that reflects the principles of moderate Islam. The schools are licensed by the Ministry of Education of Jordan and offer, in addition to the national program, several foreign programs, including the British program, the American program, the International Baccalaureate (IB), and BTEC. These programs align with the schools’ vision and mission, emphasizing the teaching of English and Chinese alongside Arabic.
Islamic Educational College Schools focus on fostering creativity among students and enhancing their interaction with the local community. This is supported by the availability of resources, including school buildings, facilities, equipment, technological tools, and qualified staff. Currently, the schools have approximately 7,200 students enrolled, and nearly 23,000 students have graduated since their establishment until 2024.
The Islamic Educational College Schools distinguish themselves by combining tradition with modernity in the overall educational process. They stay abreast of the latest educational developments to ensure the highest level of teaching and learning for their students. The schools are committed to adhering to Arab and Islamic principles while meeting the aspirations of parents and their children.
The Islamic Educational College Schools boast numerous facilities and educational tools to support a vibrant learning environment that meets the demands of both national and international programs. Each of the eleven schools across the Jabal Amman and Jubaiha campuses is equipped with specialized facilities, including playgrounds, computer labs, science laboratories, interactive panels, classrooms, auditoriums, gyms, and libraries. These facilities are used for various student activities and community engagement initiatives.
