Student Clubs Program

Student Clubs Program

At the IEC, we believe in nurturing all students’ unique talents and interests. Our Clubs Program is a vital part of our second-semester curriculum, designed to help students discover, develop, and celebrate their skills in a fun, supportive, and creative environment.

What Are Clubs?

Clubs are structured sessions held once a week during school hours over 8 weeks, as part of the official "Clubs" class. These sessions offer students hands-on opportunities to explore their hobbies, learn new skills, and connect with peers and teachers outside of the traditional classroom setting.

Purpose of the Clubs Program

Our Clubs Program aims to:

  1. Uncover and enhance student talents at every level.
  2. Foster a positive and spirited school community.
  3. Strengthen relationships between students, staff, and teachers.
  4. Provide space for creativity and expression through diverse activities.
  5. Help students identify their hobbies and offer a nurturing environment to grow them.
  6. Encourage teachers to share and enrich the school culture with their talents and interests.

Who Can Join?

All students from Grade 4 to Grade 9 are invited to participate. Our goal is to ensure every student has the opportunity to find their passion and shine!

How It Works

  1. A collaborative meeting is held between school leadership and student representatives to gather ideas and preferences.
  2. Based on student interests, a list of club options is created and shared.
  3. Classes choose their top 3 preferred clubs.
  4. A selection committee assigns classes to clubs based on their choices.
  5. Teachers submit weekly requests for any necessary materials or resources to support their club activities.

Program Impact

Over the past 7 years, the Clubs Program has led to remarkable student achievements in a variety of fields. Our students have:

  • Participated in inter-school competitions.
  • Represented the school in the Ministry of Education and Private Schools events.
  • Developed strong portfolios of extracurricular involvement.

These accomplishments reflect the success of the program in building confidence, enhancing creativity, and expanding opportunities for all students.
